The Space Dome

Last week year 5 had a visit from the Space Dome. Each class were able to crawl inside an inflatable planetarium and learn lots about the Earth and space. It was a great morning and we learnt a lot. Here are some of the facts that Callum learnt:

1. It takes 365 days for the earth to orbit the sun.
2. The sun appears to rise in the East and set in the West
3. It takes 24 hours for the Earth to rotate one full turn.
4. Pluto is a dwarf planet.
5. There are 9 planets and dwarf planets that orbit the sun.
