"On Tuesday 9th February 2016, a textiles collection was held at New Haw Community School. All of the pupils were encouraged to donate bags of unwanted clothing, shoes and small electronic devices, which were going to be recycled. The pupils dropped their bags off on the playground at around 9 am, later a truck then came to collect the bags and deliver them to the recycling depot. The Eco Warriors and Mrs Walsh helped to co-ordinate the collection.
We collected over 410kg of textiles and other unwanted items, worth about £164! We have chosen to spend the money earned on new Science resources for the school. Well done everyone for your generous efforts!"
